Services for Daniel L. Barker, II, 78, of Route 2, Meridian, Ida., who died Friday, Nov. 10, 1967, of an apparent heart attack, will be 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in Robison Chapel of the Chimes.

The Very Rev. William B. Spofford Jr., of St. Michael's Episcopal Cathedral in Boise will officiate. Interment, with Masonic rites, will be at the Meridian Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Don Storey, Terry McGoldrick, Vernon Cairns, Clark Ellensohn, Neil Brace and Fay White. Friends may call at the chapel all day today and until time of service Tuesday.

Mr. Barker was born Nov. 1, 1889, at Palmer, Neb. The family came to Meridian when he was three. He attended Meridian schools and in 1914 moved to British Columbia, Canada where he homesteaded. He was in the Canadian Army from 1915 to 1919, serving in France and Belgium.

He married Doris Jolly on May 1, 1920, in Edmonton, Alta., Canada. They moved to Montour, Ida., in 1937 and returned to Meridian in 1945. He was a member of the Episcopal Church, Meridian Lodge No. 47, AF&AM, Scottish Rite bodies and El Korah Shrine. He served as director of the Nampa-Meridian Irrigation District for 18 years and was a member of Boise Project board of control.

He is survived by his wife, Doris of Meridian; and a son, Dan Barker, III and family of Meridian.

An infant daughter and a son, John, preceded him in death.
