BROOKLET, Ga. - Mr. Frank Thomas Beasley, age 81, died Monday morning at his residence under the care of Ogeechee Area Hospice. The native and lifelong resident of Bulloch County was a 1944 graduate of Brooklet High School and a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was employed for 30 years as an X-ray technician with the Chatham County Health Department and Georgia Regional Hospital in Savannah. Mr. Beasley was a member of the Lanes Primitive Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon for 28 years. He was the founding member of the Davis Branch Hunting Club and was an avid fisherman. He will always be remembered as a beloved husband and father. He was preceded in death by his parents, Isaiah and Bessie Beasley; four brothers, George Beasley, Dave Beasley, Todd Beasley and Hubert Beasley; and three sisters, Mary Lee Sowell, Hazel Marshall and Quida Strickland.
Surviving are his wife of 49 years, Eloise Shuman Beasley; a son, Michael Barnes of Fresno, Calif.; a brother, Gordon Beasley of Conyers, Ga.; two sisters, Helen Cook of Brandon, Fla., and Erma Farnsworth of Savannah, Ga.; and a grandson, Michael Barnes Jr. of Atlanta.
The funeral service was held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Lanes Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Moses Toole officiating, assisted by the Rev. Joe Eason. Interment followed in the church cemetery with Elder Lee Chambers officiating.
Pallbearers were Hank Knight, Ernie Knight, Kenneth Knight, C.J. Williams, Marty Daniel and Jimmy Williams.
Honorary pallbearers were members of the Roscoe Roberts Sunday School Class of Trinity Baptist Church.
Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home of Statesboro was in charge of arrangements.
