William H. Arrants Born March 1 1836 Died June 17 1901. [Next line too tiny for me to read.] Further information from a descendant of his wife, E B Holmberg, says: Mary Margaret Ann Riley's first husband was David Geisler. Their daughter was Harriet Esther Giesler. The daughter was not quite two years old when David died of typhoid fever and complications from pneumonia while serving in the Confederate Army in Berlin, TN (17 Mar 1863). E B Holmberg's grandfather, Robert Andrew "Rob" Boy told that when David went to fight in the war, he told his friend, Hanse Arrants, to take care of his wife and child if he did not come back. David did get sick and die so in order to take good care of his friend's family, Hanse married Harriet's mother.

William H. Arrants and Mary M Geisler were married 18 Sept 1869. William was the son of Harmon Arrants and Elizabeth Longacre Arrants.
