Georgia D. Swanagon, age 81 of Clinton, Missouri passed away Tuesday, August 25, 2009 at Golden Living Center-Westwood. Clinton. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M., Friday, August 28, 2009 at Vansant-Mills Chapel, Clinton with burial in Englewood Cemetery, Clinton. Family will receive friends one hour before the service on Friday at the chapel. Family suggests contributions to the American Cancer Society and may be left at the funeral home. Georgia was born in Urich, Missouri the daughter of George and Della Mae "Little" Wilson. She was married to James W. "Jim" Swanagon on November 12, 1948 in Clinton, Missouri and he preceded her in death on March 15, 1999. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, Clinton.
She was preceded in death by one son, Jerry Ray Swanagon.
She is survived by her three children, Richard Swanagon and wife, Sandy and Roger Swanagon and wife, Cathy, all of Clinton, Missouri and Judy Althoff and husband, Gary of Liberty, Missouri; eight grandchildren, Todd Althoff, Travis Althoff, Dustin Althoff, Shari Metcalfe, Jennifer Swanagon, Jason Swanagon, Eric Mitchell and Carrie Alexander; twelve great grandchildren; one brother, Eugene Wilson of Clinton, Missouri and five sisters, Retha June Montgomery of the state of California, Nadine Williamson of Platte City, Missouri, Evelyn Myers of Sedalia, Missouri, Alberta Rhodes of Lenexa, Kansas, and Lucille Boyd of Clinton, Missouri.
