KESWICK - Joe Zimmerman, 73, died Wednesday at Mahaska Hospital in Oskaloosa,
He was born Dec. 4, 1900, in Mahaska County (sic)* to August and Karline Hackwork Zimmerman. On Oct. 22, 1919, he married Luella McKay in Webster.
Surviving are his widow; one daughter, Mrs. Melvin Dahlstrom of Thornburg; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one brother, Gus Zimmerman of Toulon, Ill. He ws preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters.
The service will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Harden Chapel in What Cheer, with the Rev. Roy Hoover officiating. Burial will be in Sixteen Cemetery.

Joe's father was August Zimmerman of Massenbachhausen, Wuerttemberg, Germany and his mother was Carolina Hochwarth of Helmhof, Baden, Germany.
