Allen F. DeLong, 77, formerly of Catasauqua, died Friday in his home at 240 Main St., Alburtis. His wife, Helen C. (Helfrich) DeLong, died in 1968. He was a meat packer for Arbogast & Bastian Co., Allentown, for 25 years, retiring in 1964. Born in North Whitehall Township, he was a son of the late Tilden and Maggie (Hahn) DeLong. He was a member of the United Church of Christ congregation of Neffs Union Church. Surviving are four sons, Leonard T., of Seemsville, Lester A., of Coplay R. 1, Tilden L., of Tunkhannock R. 1, Wyoming County, and Russell C., of Catasauqua; three daughters, Marion, wife of Raymond Bertsch, and Shirley, wife of Arthur Kuhns, both of Allentown, and Grace, wife of LeRoy Hunsicker, with whom he resided; two brothers, Roy of Egypt and Daniel of Catasauqua; four sisters, Mrs. Annie German of Tunkhannock R. 1, Ella, wife of Martin Wieand of Catasauqua, Mrs. Lillian Stoudt of Bath, and Mrs. Erma Gehman of Coopersburg; 21 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Services will be at 11 .m. Tuesday in the church. Calling hours will be 7-8:30 p.m. Monday in the Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Ave., Northampton.
