1957 - Mrs. Maggie C. DeLong, 79, of Willow Brook Farm, Catasauqua R. 1, was pronounced dead on arrival at Allentown Hospital late yesterday afternoon. She was to be admitted as a surgical patient. Born in North Whitehall Township, she resided in Lehigh County until 13 years ago, when she moved to Willow Farm, the home of her son, Daniel L. DeLong. She was a member of the Evangelical and Reformed congregation of Unionville Church, Neffs. Surviving are her husband, Tilden R. DeLong; five daughters, Lillian, wife of Clarence Stoudt, Allentown R. 1; Irma, wife of Robert Gehman, Coopersburg; Ella, wife of Martin Weiand, Catasauqua; Edna, wife of Ernest Bernhard, Egypt, and Mrs. Annie German, Lake Carey, Tunkhannock; four sons, Roy T., Allentown R. 1; Allen F., Catasauqua; Harry J., Freemansburg, and Daniel L., with whom she resided; two sisters, Mrs. Frederick Hertzog, Allentown, and Miss Daisy Phillips, Philadelphia; a brother, George Phillips, Philadelphia; 48 grandchildren, 60 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Ave., Northampton.
