Ms. Maude Guthrie, age 85, of Winnfield, La., passed away Friday, January 20, 2006, at the Autumn Leaves Nursing Home in Winnfield, La. She was a member of the Bethel Church of Christ in Calvin. Mrs. Guthrie was also a member of Busy Bee Homemakers Club and a longtime area seamstress.
She was the daughter of the late Ernest G. Guthrie and the late Carrie M. (Hogg) Guthrie. Mrs. Guthrie was also preceded in death by two brothers, Arthur and John Guthrie; and one sister, Louisa Norman.
She is survived by her
Two Sisters, Mattie McNeill of Winnfield, La. Marie Saucier of Dodson, La.
A host of nieces and nephews.
Services are under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield, La. The family will receive friends at the Bethel Church of Christ in Calvin, La. from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM Saturday, January 21, 2006 and from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM Sunday, January 22, 2006. Funeral services will be held at the Bethel Church of Christ at 2:00 PM Sunday, January 22, 2006 , with Steve Bartlett and Mitchell Norman officiating. Interment will be at Bethlehem Cemetery in Calvin, La.
George Norman, Roy Mercer, Jr., David C. McNeill, Roy H. Norman, Randy Norman, and Gwin Norman will serve as Pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jason Norman, Fred Bonnette, Richard Delaughter, Danny Conzonere, Todd Ryder, and Jimmy Delaughter.
