Born April 24, 1907, in Comanche County, she married Watson Wiley "Bud" Corley June 2, 1938 in Comanche. He died July 2, 1966. Mrs. Corley taught school for more than 42 years, including many years at Rochester. She had degrees from Hardin-SImmons, Abilene Christian and Texas Tech universities.
She was a member of the Women's Literary Club of Rochester and the Writer's Guild of Abilene. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Rochester where she taught Sunday School class for many years.
She is survived by six sisters-in-law, Lucille Collins of Fort Worth, Ruth Underwood of Knox City, Bonnie Corley of Knox City, Blanche Corley of Rochester, Lois Corley of Fort Worth and Paula Corley of Victoria.
