MRS. WILLIAM DEMARS
AURORA — The funeral for Mrs. Bernadette Demars, 69, Aurora, will be at 10 am Friday at St. Peter's Catholic Church here, the Rev. Donald Zimmerman officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Demars was found Tuesday at the Aurora Church. She was pronounced dead on arrival at St. Joseph's Hospital, Concordia. She apparently had suffered a heart attack. She was born Sept. 9, 1908, in Tulsa, Okla., and had lived in Aurora since the 1920s.
She was the widow of Aurora farmer Williarn Demars who died in 1963.
She was a member of the St. Peter's Church, the Royal Neighbors of America and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary.
Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Marilouise Breault, Concordia; Mrs. Lillian Comfort, Delphos; Mrs. Gevine Hoseii, Clyde; Mrs. Jeanette Nelson, Hutchinson, and Lorette Demars, Salina; a brother, Regis L'Ecuyer, Clyde; six sisters, Cecelia L'Ecuyer and Mrs. Rose Harper, both of Clyde; Mrs. Patsy Limbrey, Clifton; Mrs. Lillian McConahey, Concordia; Mrs. Madeline Bottenfield, Tulsa, Okla., and Mrs. Mae Baba, Wichita; 17 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
The Rosary will be recited at 7:30 pm Thursday at the Chaput-Buoy funeral home, Concordia. The family suggests memorials to the church.
