It is assumed that Isaac and Rebecca were buried in the Goshen Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. They lived in Wilton in their old age, but there are no known cemetery burial records, or visible grave markers for them.

Isaac was about 20 years old when he married his cousin, Rebecca White, on May 25, 1797, in Clark Co., KY. The ceremony was "certified" (performed) by great-uncle, Rev. Squire Boone, Jr., Baptist preacher and little brother of the famous Daniel.

1880 Census for Boone Co., MO, shows daughter, Rebecca (Sappington), with both parents born in North Carolina.

Isaac and Rebecca were members of the Little Bonne Femme church, then members of the New Salem Baptist Church of Ashland, and in 1832, the Baptist Church of Christ also known as Goshen Primitive Baptist Church of Wilton.

"Wilcoxson and Allied Families," by Dorothy Ford Wulfeck, M. A. 1958, records Isaac's lineage. His will contains the spelling for his last name as "Willcockson."

There were two cousins with the same name, who about the same time, migrated to Howard Co., MO: Isaac Willcockson, whose farm ended up in Boone Co., MO, and the other, Isaac Wilcoxson remained in Howard Co., MO. Unfortunately, Ms. Wulfeck confused the two Isaacs in her book, when she copied almost word for word, a news item featuring "George H. Wilcoxson" of Howard Co., MO, mentioning his grandfather, Isaac Wilcoxson, and giving it to Isaac of Boone County. Howard County Missouri Biographies (Richmond Township, part 2). File contributed for use in the USGenWeb Archives by Stephen L. Willson.
