Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend went to join her loved ones and her wonderful Jesus on August 30, 2009 at the age of 93. She loved her Savior and is celebrating a great reunion with her loved ones.
Roberta Elizabeth Martin was born January 7, 1916 in Blue Ridge, Texas to the late William Robert & Pauline Atterbury Brown. She had been a resident of Ben Wheeler, was a homemaker, and a member of Van Assembly of God. She married Edward Loy Martin on December 23, 1932.
Survivors include her husband of 76 years, E. L. "Pete" Martin of Ben Wheeler; children, Myrna Loy & Carl Hughes of Canton, Wanda Jean Davis of Quinlan, Bertie Ann Martin of Ben Wheeler, Patricia Kay & Phil Eichorst of Chandler, and Betty & Shelby Jackson of Albuquerque, New Mexico;
grandchildren, Darla Gay Wright, Lisa McCulloch, Kariann Jackson, Tracie Jackson and Jerry Wayne Marks; great-grandchild, Justin Wayne Marks; and great-great-grandchild, Jackson Wayne Marks; and brother, Von Ray Brown of Yucca Valley, California.
