MRS. G. A. Horton
Mrs. George A. Horton, 80, of Rt. 4, a pioneer resident of Lawton, died about 11:45 p.m. Monday in a local hospital. Services will be announced by Ritter Funeral home.
Mrs. Horton was born Sept. 4, 1879 in Minier, Ill,. and came to Lawton in 1902 as a music teacher. She married George A. Horton Aug. 14, 1907, in Minier. She was a member of the Pioneer club and the First Presbyterian church. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian church building fund.
She is survived by her husband, of the home; two daughters, Mrs. Agnes McAllister, Mission, Kan., and Mrs. Oleta Millard, Wichita, Kan.; two sons, George Horton Jr., of the home, and Ben D. Horton of Edinburg, Tex.; one sister, Mrs. Charles G. Manuel, Houston, Tex.; 10 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
