She was born April 25, 1932 in Victoria to Joachim "Jack" and Petronilla "Peach" (Blissing) Lang.
She married Al Basgall and he died Oct. 30, 1968. She then married Eugene Mall and he died Oct. 28, 2001.
She lived in Hays until 1971 when she moved to Honolulu, Hawaii. She retired in 1993 and moved to Rockport, Texas. She worked for AT&T in Hays and Honolulu.
Survivors include four stepchildren, Frank Mall of Overland Park Kan., John Mall of Billings Mont., and Jim Mall of Hays Kan.; a stepdaughter Kathleen Dinkel of Hays; and 12 grandchildren; and a sister Betty Toepher, Arizona.
Memorial service and interment will be at 11 a.m. May 26, 2003 at Abilene City Cemetery, Abiline. Cline's Mortuary of Hays, 1919 E. 22nd, is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials are suggested to the Cancer Council of Ellis County or the Humane Society of the High Plains.
