New Hampshire Governor, Physician. Born in Biddeford, Maine, he was Governor of New Hampshire from 1909 to 1911. Under his administration, Keene State College was established. He was a member of the New Hampshire House of Representatives from 1887 to 1888 and the State Senate from 1889 to 1890. A prominent freemason and member of the Sons of the American Revolution, he died in New York City.
