JAMES MOORE DIES NEAR BETHEL
James E. Moore, 79, died at his home near Bethel Wednesday night. Mr. Moore was among the first Registered Angus cattle breeders in the county. He continued in the business for 50 years until his health failed him several years ago. He was also a prominent farmer as well as a stockman.
Mr. Moore was born Aug. 3, 1879, first son of Tandy and Virginia Rutter Moore of near Bethel. He was married to Lydia Vanskike on February 26, 1908, who survives.
Other survivors are a son Gentry, a daughter-in-law, Martha; two granddaughters, Kathleen Perry and Elizabeth Moore, a grandson-in-law and a great grandson, James Neal Perry.
Three brothers, Loyd of Denver, Colo., Tandy Earl of LaBelle and Weldon C. of Bethel; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Pickett, Bethel and Mrs. John G. Farmer, Vermillion, S. Dakota, nieces, nephews and other relatives. One son Russell preceded him in death. Mr. Moore was a member of Shiloh church where he had served as deacon for 45 years.
