Alline Fisher Methvin 1913 - 2009 After ninety-six years of working hard, smiling big and enjoying people and life, Alline Fisher (Dutch) Methvin, died on September 7, 2009 at Alterra Sterling House. She had been a resident of Bay Club in Panama City since moving from Jacksonville in 1993. She was born in Marcus, Washington, the middle of seven children of Charles and Carrie Fisher and grew up in Cross City, where she was renowned as a basketball player for the Dixie Bears. She was employed by the Peninsula Life Insurance Company in Jacksonville for many years before her retirement there. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Benjamin W. Redding, Jr., in 1935, and by her husband of 41 years, Albert Randall Methvin. She is survived by her son, Benjamin W. Redding, III, and wife, Dee, of Panama City, grandchildren, Joree Hamm and husband, Jerry, and Cecilia Boyd and husband, Jim, of Panama City, and Patricia Williams and husband, Rafael, of Jackson, Wyo., five great-grandchildren, George Hamm, Cecilia Williams, Ben Williams, Fisher Boyd and J. Alton Boyd, her sister, Ruth F. Pender, of Jacksonville, and a number of beloved nieces and nephews. She enjoyed fishing and the outdoors, cooking, pickling and spending time with friends and family. A memorial service will be held in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel at 3 o'clock on Wednesday, September 16, 2009.
