Son of: Benjamin & Jane Anderson who came to Texas abt. 1834.

Married Mary Ann in Nacogdoches County, Nov.19,1843. They lived there for 27 years prior to moving to Fort Lacy, Alto,Texas 1870.

Mary Ann was the daugher of: Isaac & Mary (Groce)Lee. She was born in Hempstead County, AR Dec.12, 1827. She was brought to Texas on horseback on April, 1828.

She and Benjamin were parents of 10 children.

Benjamin served in Co.B, Third Brigade, Texas State Troops during the Civil War.

Benjamin was a Farmer, Rancher, and Trader.

Moved to Hamilton County about 1885.

Benjamin and Mary Ann were charter members of the Fairy Methodist Church.
