Ann L. (Newhouse) Ondo, 68, Brown Rd of Oregon, OH, died suddenly at home on September 8, 2009. She was born February 1, 1941, in Leechville, AK, but was a lifelong resident of the Toledo area.

Ann is survived by her loving husband, James Ondo; daughters, Lisa (Jerry) Laberdee, and Michele (Don) Davis, and step children, Kim (Rick) Peppers and Bob (Theresa) Ondo. She is survived by grandchildren, Jarret, Lexi, and Cassi Laberdee and Zach Vince, and Rachel (Jake) Harold and Austin Peppers, and great-grandchildren, Jacob and Caleb Harold. She is survived by sister, Faye (Fritz) Everhardt, and brothers, Bill (Sally) Newhouse, and Bob (Paula) Newhouse, and special niece and goddaughter, Vicki Schwamberger. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews who knew her as "Auntie Ann".

Ann was preceded in death by her sister, Pat Berry, and her parents, Vinnie and Otto Newhouse.

Ann and Jim were married Christmas Day, 1971, by Toledo Mayor Harry Kessler, which is why her family frequently forgot to send anniversary cards.

Ann was very involved with her grandchildren, from volunteering in their elementary school to watching all of their sporting events.

She volunteered for Relay For Life for many years and was very involved with fighting cancer, as it affected so many of her family members.

Ann loved fishing with her husband, playing cards, slot machines, and making big dinners for her family.

Visitation will be held at Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home on 440 South Coy Road in Oregon, OH, on Friday, September 11 from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. with a memorial service immediately following.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association .
