Mr. Davis was born near Holland, in September 1898. He lived here all his life until a few years ago when he moved to Caruthersville. He had been in ill health for several months but his condition became serious about two weeks ago. He died Friday, March 14, 1947 at the Baptist Hospital in St. Louis.
He is survived by his wife, Bessie, two sons, Dickie and Billie Jack of Caruthersville, one sister, Mrs. Freddie Collins of Holland, two brothers, Alva Davis of Chaffee and Delmar "Frog" Davis of Steele. He also leaves his step-mother, Mrs. Nannie Davis, one step-sister, Mrs. Ludie Ray and one step-brother, Cecil Campbell all of Steele.
Interment was made at Little Prairie Cemetery with LaForge in charge.
