She was a twin and died at 1:30 P.M.; 17 hours and 14 minutes after birth (8:16 PM). Her short life was spent at Delaware County Hospital. She was born with an incomplete respiratory system and her chest was caved in. The death certificate lists the cause of her death as prematurity.

The family said the twins were born two months early. Her sister, who survived to adulthood, was very small and carried on a pillow as a newborn.

According to the family, Lois Anne was buried in the "National Baby Cemetery"; location unknown. This was probably just made up by Lois' parents to comfort her siblings.

Her death certificate lists "anatomical bd" for location of her burial or cremation. This was listed on Philadelphia death certificates when remains went to the Anatomical Board for dissection and research instead of a cemetery burial.
