Kathleen Roper Reeves, 74, of 106 Fox Chase Road, died Saturday, September 12, 2009 at Palmetto Health Baptist Easley.

A native of Easley, she was a daughter of the late Julius Earl and Ollie Louise Turner Roper. She was a spooler and also worked for Foothills Sewing Hall. Mrs. Reeves loved cooking Sunday dinner for her family and spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving are a son, Mark Reeves; a daughter, Diane Dills; a brother, Benny Roper, all of Easley; a sister, Vietta Sheriff of Greenville; a special niece, Brenda Lane; four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Adolphus Martin "Pete" Reeves; a son, Glenn Reeves; two brothers, Oscar "Fat" Roper, Ernest Roper; and a sister, Jesse Ellen Taylor.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home - Downtown with Reverend Robert Griswold officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
