Ray Plumlee, 51, filling station operator of Newcastle, Oklahoma, died Thursday, March 25, of a heart attack. Mr. Plumlee had attended Earl Tate's funeral services Thursday. He went home and changed clothes and went to work at his station. In about 30 minutes, he became so ill he called his son, who lived 2 miles away, to come and take him to a doctor. Mr. Plumlee died before they reached a doctor.

Mr. Plumlee was born at Tuttle, July 02, 1919, and died March 25, 1971. He formerly lived in Tuttle and was a bus driver for the Tuttle schools. For the past several years, he had operated a filling station 10 miles east of Tuttle.

Funeral rites were held at the Newcastle Baptist church, Sunday, with Rev R.L. Sumner officiating.

Survivors include his wife, Bea, of the home just east of the filling station, 4 sons, Ed, Bruce, and Tom of Newcastle, and Gary of Moore, Oklahoma; 2 sisters, Mrs. Bliss Hestand of Chickasha, Oklahoma, and Mrs. Chloe Basinger of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and 3 brothers, Jesse, C.P., and Roy, all of Tuttle.

Burial was in Fairview cemetery, Tuttle, under the direction of the Eisenhour Funeral Home, Blanchard, Oklahoma.
