A funeral will be held Monday, April 18th, 2005 for 58-year-old Kenneth Paul Scherer of Ste. Genevieve who died Thursday, April 14th at his residence.
He was born December 16th, 1946 in Ste. Genevieve, the son of the late Walter Scherer and Carrie (Kreitler) Scherer.
Survivors include: seven sisters and four brothers in law, Norma and Norman LaRose of Ste. Genevieve, Edith Harrison of St. Louis, Margaret and Robert Moll of St. Mary, Betty Boone of Rosenberg, Texas, Joan "Sugar" and Donnie Lowry of Ste. Genevieve, Mary J. and Vernon Heck of St. Louis, Carol Scherer of Ste. Genevieve; two brothers and one sister in law, Norman "Termite" and Marlietta Scherer of Ste. Genevieve and James Scherer of Perryville; sister in law; nieces; nephews; cousins and friends.
Two sisters, Anna Mae Scherer and Barbara Scherer and two brothers, Raymond Scherer and Walter Scherer Jr, also preceded him in death.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council No. 1037 and Ste. Genevieve Elks Lodge No. 2674.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Sunday, April 17th at the Wood Family Funeral Home in Ste. Genevieve. The Rosary Service will be at 7 p.m.
A funeral for 58-year-old Kenneth Paul Scherer of Perryville will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday, April 18th at the Church of Ste. Genevieve. Burial will be in the Valle Spring Cemetery. The Rev. Dan Mosley will officiate.
Memorials may be made to the Valle schools.
