His great grandparents were Major Ebenezer Robinson & Ann Stone, Solomon Jenkins & - - Lurancy Lockwood was born December 27, 1817 and died July 19, 1883, Vega, NY. Cornelius and Lurancy were married July 10, 1836. They are buried in the Methodist Cemetery, Grand Gorge.

The death of Mr. Hiram C. Jenkins of Red Falls, occurred at his home Tuesday, June 29th, at the age of 75 years. Mr. Jenkins had been a patient sufferer for some time.
The deceased is survived by his wife, one brother, Abram Jenkins, of Manorkill, one son John L. of Prattsville, one granddaughter, Mrs. Henry Hoehn of Prattsville, five grandsons. Lloyd and Earl Jenkins of Grand Gorge, Samuel Jenkins of Ossining, H.C and Harold Jenkins of Prattsville; one great granddaughter of Ossining. besides several nieces, nephews and cousins and a host of friends.
Mr. Jenkins became a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church in 1900 and has lived a Christian life. His funeral was held at his late home Friday, July 2d, at 2 o'clock. Rev. Ralph S. Thorn officiating. Interment in the Fair Lawn Cemetery, Prattsville."
