From the Beaumont (TX) Journal, Friday, June 8, 1934, p. 9:

Funeral services for Mrs. Annie Frisbie, 77, resident of Devers for half a century, who died at her home there at 7 p.m. Thursday following a heart attack, will be held at the late resience at 2:30 p.m. Friday. Rev. George Loden, Methodist minister, will officiate. Interment under the direction of Roberts Undertaking company, will be in the Abshire cemetery near Devers.

For many years Mrs. Frisbie and her husband operated a hotel at Devers. Mr. Frisbie died in 1927.

Mrs. Frisbie was walking in front of her home with her daughter, Mrs. Lella Barrow of El Paso, who had been visiting here, when she was stricken. She died before medical aid could reach her.

Surviving besides Mrs. Barrow are three other daughters, Mrs. C. J. Peterson of High Island, Mrs. A. C. Floyd of Shelton, Texas, and Mrs. Rosalie Hills of Los Angeles, Cal.; one son, E. M. Frisbie of Devers; a brother, C. S. Harman of Hankamer; 13 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
