The Williams County Genealogical Society's Tombstone Inscription Book for Springfield Twp., page 35 in the Buck Cemetery section, is dedicated to information for 13 Veteran's of the Civil War or the War of 1812 buried in Buck Cemetery. Veteran information for Joseph Murray is as follows:

These gravestones are located in row 8 of Buck Cemetery, referred to as "Riverside" in early records. This Cemetery Located in Section 32, Springfield Township, Williams County, Ohio on the banks of Bean Creek. It is back a gated lane just off off the Williams-Defiance County Line Road.

From left to right are stones reading Henry E. 1875-1937; Mother; Joseph and Mary M. Murray (the large headstone).

This is a very old cemetery, the first burial was in 1834 for Huldah Coonrod. The cemetery was first read in 1988. Since then much vandalism has been done and many stones are missing or broken. Contact the Williams County Public Library in Bryan, OH for information concerning the publication containing Buck Cemetery. The Williams County Records Center also has a copy of all the cemetery books in Williams County.
