Mrs. Louisa Schmitz, 86, formerly of St. Cloud, died Friday evening at the Fond du Lac County Home, where she had been a resident.
Born February 12, 1881 in Johnsburg, she was the daughter of the late Jacob and Mary Simon. On April 30, 1907 she married the late John Schmitz at Johnsburg. He died February 11, 1957.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Gregor Morgan, Johnsburg, three sons, Clemens, St. Joe, Leander, New Holstein, and William F Milwaukee, two sisters, Mrs. Rosa Ott, Chilton, and Mrs. Mary Ditter, Mt. Calvary, 14 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by eight brothers and three sisters.
She was a member of St. Cloud Catholic Church and its Christian Mothers Society.
Funeral services will be held at 10a.m. Monday at St. Cloud Catholic Church, with burial in the church cemetery.

Funeral service for Mrs. Louise Schmitz, who died Friday at the Fond du lac County Home, were held at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Cloud Catholic Church, Rev. A. E. Simon, nephew of the deceased, celebrant of the Solemn Requiem High mass.
Honorary pallbearers were Mrs. Gertrude Keller, Mrs. Mary Eches, Mrs. Roland Kees, Mrs. John Lisowe, Mrs. Mary Pauly, Mrs. Christ Lefeber, Mrs. Joseph Abler and Mrs. Henry Wehner.
Active pallbearers were James Morgan, John Schmitz, Roger Schmitz, Robert Schmitz, Vernon Schmitz and Edwin Blatz. Burial was in the church cemetery.
The Lisowe-Huss Funeral Home, St. Cloud, was in charge of the arrangements.
