Mary Bass Cannon was the only child born to John H. and Maude R. Bass. Mary was a very loving, kind and generous person.Mary had four children Becki,John, karen and Lorrain. We have just found that our brother John passed away dec.19,2007.Mary was the widow of the late Marshall Dewey Cannon. Mary had some emotional and mental problems, so our family was spread apart.I know at last she has peace and is with her Lord Jesus. she is missed by all who truly knew her.She was an extremly interesting person, she was great at telling her children tales of the passed, but she wanted them to know that Jesus was not just a story.I think probably this was most important.I knew she was a strong person, but I did not know how stong until she was gone.I have started tracing our family roots,Momas stories would certainly be of help now.I wish I had listened a bit more. That just goes to show we don't really appreciate who we have until their gone.Mary surely made her mark in this world. She would be unforgetable even if she had not been my MOTHER.We all live with the hope that we wiil all be together again,no more tears, worries or pain.I thank God for my mother.

Moma,
I see you now so helpless, and I know the end is near. I look back at a life of turmoil and I wish I could make it clear. I've wished so many times that I could make you better, but the illness that held your mind would prove to me, not ever. You taught your children of the Lord, He was not a fairytale, you taught us that we could call on him, His love would never fail. I pray God's peace will fill you now this illness has no place. I ask God to fill your heart and soul, this illness to erase. The illness has tried to destroy you and seperate you from our love. But God and his infinite wisdom rained down on us from above. God gave us the strength to hold on, when we really wanted to let go, because he knew our mother well and he knew her soul. We've been through so many hard times because you were our mother but if given the chance to choose there could be no other.
GOD BLESS YOU MOMA
