It appears that Iberia, Stark Township, Brown Co. MN was one of the earliest
settlements in Brown Co. MN. The Pioneers settled along the big Cottonwood River.
It appears that the Cemetery Nathan Jr and other relatives
are buried at is one of the oldest in Brown Co. MN. It appears that after
much community citizen concern over the lack of upkeep of the cemetery in the
1970's that the Brown County Historical Society possibly took on some of the
responsibilities of the Oak Ridge Iberia Cemetery. ( this data compiled
from numerous sites including the Sleepy Eye News.com 9/27/14, a Brown Co. site,
others.) No cemetery burial records found for Oak Ridge Cemetery online thus far.

Family Tree Genealogy on LDS Family Search and others site Nathan passed away in Iberia Mn which was a small community within Stark Brown Co. MN where he lived. was no Headstone found for Sarah at the Iberia Cemetery. Much difficulty getting

It was documented in Ohio Biography that Nathan Jr. had five children with Elizabeth and there were four children sometime after approx. 1829. They had moved to Indiana where Elizabeth passed away. Nathan returned to Ohio after Elizabeth passed away. Nathan's Father had a farm in Montgomery Ohio. It appears that Nathan's Beloved Mother Hannah

Some Family History to be edited and verified for accuracy.
There appear to be many persons names of Nathan Farmer from Nathan's
era. There is much conflicting data regarding which Nathan Farmer is Nathan
Farmer Jr's Father on different Family Trees. Nathan's Father's name
was referred to as Nathan Farmer in the Ohio Biography and there
is info sited about him in the Ohio Biography. The Census Reports from
that era seen by writer do not include individual names for around 1800.
Not known if his given name was Nathaniel.

It appears Nathan Jr, his Parents, Brother Levi, Sister Catherine, others are sited on Ancestry.com. in many Family Trees. It has Levi's dob 1790- 1853. born in Ohio, passed away in Indiana. Levi's Spouse was Margaret. It has Parents Nathan Farmer Sr. with different, but close info 1753- 1838, Hannah Woodard Farmer's dob as approx. 1768. It has Margaret as dob 1792 and their 7 children as Keziah, Edwin, Margaret, Anna, Levi, Jacob, Edwin and Nathan. There may be many Levi Farmers, but the above does include Hannah Woodard Farmer.
Nathan Farmer Sr. is referred to as Nathan Farmer Sr., but his dob & dob match
the Memorial info for Nathaniel Farmer, not the Memorial for Nathan Farmer with
same Family info in Bio.

There are many references to Levi Farmer Sr. online.
There is a reference of a Levi Farmer in Carroll Indiana, son of Nathaniel Farmer who
donated land for a cemetery in Carroll Indiana. This Levi was also referred to as Levi Sr.
referring to the Father Nathaniel Farmer being buried and relocating him due to citizens
finding out his honorary status as serving in the American Revolution War. The name of
the Cemetery from land donated later by Levi is Farmer Watson Stanley Cemetery. It
appears his father Nathaniel was moved before the land was donated that later
became the Farmer Cemetery. Per that info, they referred to Nathaniel Farmer
having a Son Nathan. This needs clarification.
--

Farmer Cemetery: Indiana
( There appear to be many Cemeteries with Farmer name in USA)

Farmer Watson Stanley Cemetery
Washington Township, Carroll Indiana
Named after Levi Farmer Sr. initially

It is very small, very remote per Findagrave description. The Findagrave Volunteer who entered the information onto Findagrave for the Farmer Watson Stanley Cemetery has a better description. He described Levi Sr, named Levi's Father as Nathaniel C. Farmer. There are Findagrave Memorials for Family buried at this cemetery. Levi's name and Nathan Sr.'s Names are not on those Memorials. There appears to be a connection here as Nathan Farmer Sr. was per two biographies an notable gunsmith during the Revolutionary War. with a Son Levi. Our Family member Levi has a Son Levi. Writer found a reference for them searching for Nathan Sr. and Levi, but the dates didn't match.... may be just a big coincidence.... The two Biographies referred to in Nathan Jr's Memorial state the same information about Nathan Sr. Our Family Member Nathan Sr. is buried in Wayne Indiana. Per his Findagrave Memorial. This Cemetery is called the West River Friends Cemetery..The Levi related to our Family was living in Indiana at that time too.

There are references on some Family Trees that Levi is buried at the Farmer Cemetery
above. Levi's Son Edom possibly has a Memorial for that Cemetery, Levi does not.

The Nathan Farmer Memorial that Nathan Jr is linked to has the
correct Parents names for our Nathan. Both of the Biographies referred to our Family's Nathan as Nathan.
It could be a coincidence regarding any connections to the above. Nathaniel C. Farmer's bio as being in the Revolutionary War matches history for Nathan Jr's Father Nathan. Other references found regarding Nathaniel C. Farmer being a gunsmith at that time matches information
found for Nathan Farmer Sr. elsewhere.

( All to be edited if confirmed or ruled out if
this is same Levi & Nathan Farmer Sr. in Nathan Farmer Jr's Family)

Nathan Sr. Farmer passed away in Wayne Indiana. Per the
Ohio biography, He moved from Ohio to the home of his Daughter after his Spouse Hannah passed away. Catherine may have been the Daughter he stayed with as she lived in Wayne Indiana. ( or His Son Levi's Family) not known.

The Ancestry.com 6/13/14 information on Nathan Sr. has him as Nathan Sr. Farmer. Married to Hannah Woodard. The children listed for Nathan Sr. are Nathan - same dates for our Nathan Jr, Levi Farmer 1790 - 1853 and Catherine Farmer Davis 1787- 1887 married to Joseph Davis. Some of the dates are off by a year. Our Nathan Jr. is exact. The dates for Nathan Sr. Farmer are the same as the Memorial for Nathaniel C. Farmer. (1753- 1838). Our Nathan Jr is linked to Nathan Farmer with Nathan spelling 1749 - 1836 with our Nathan's Family info in the bio. Both buried in Indiana. For Nathan Sr and for Nathan Jr, not all the children are listed. It does confirm that the Catherine Davis we asked to link is Nathan Jr's Sister. Levi Sr. is Nathan Jr's Brother. Adam Farmer 1820 - 1896 close to Memorial dates is Nathan Jr's Son. It has Robert Boyce for Belinda's Spouse, not Bayes as confirmed. The Family is found in an incredible amount of Family Trees. Not all the information is accurate when cross referenced. There is much good info. There was no information found on the Family Tree accessed for anything more about Nathan Jr's Son Sanford Farmer. His dob only. No further history given. All the above childrens names for Nathan Jr. known in Nathan Jr's Memorial were listed. Three Children of Nathan Sr. & Hannah Woodard listed as Catherine, Nathan and Levi Farmer.

( this data compiled
from numerous sites including the Sleepy Eye News.com 9/27/14, a Brown Co. site,

Farmer being a gunsmith at that time matches information
found for Nathan Farmer Sr. elsewhere.

( All to be edited if confirmed or ruled out if
this is same Levi & Nathan Farmer Sr. in Nathan Farmer Jr's Family)

to note:
If accurate, Farmer Township named after Nathan Jr. Farmer
is in Defiance Co. Ohio. It appears it was once considered
to be Williams Co. Ohio historically. Nathan's Family moved to Williams Co.
in abt 1833. They were the first settlers in the area that was named after him,
Farmer Township. In about 1853 moved to Howard Co. Iowa and then Appanoose
County Iowa, eventually moving onto Minnesota. Nathan was a Pioneer.

The Family Search Pedigree has some different information
than what is on other sites. The Pedigree site includes Nathan Jr's Siblings as Enoch Farmer, Catherine Farmer, Levi Farmer, Elizabeth Farmer, Edom Farmer and Rachel Farmer.
Some of the information has confirmed, some has not.
Rachel Farmer married Issac Moore in 1821. There is some very good information on this site. A data issue our Nathan Jr. is his Father Nathan Sr. Farmer. This site has Nathan Sr. as being born 1764 in Surry NC. It has him passing away Dec. 11, 1836 in Dalton Wayne Co. Indiana. The location of his death and dod of 1836 match the Memorial we have linked for Nathan Jr's Father. the dob does not match. The dob for the Memorial we linked, that includes Nathan's Parents names and same family information has 1749 dob for Nathan Sr. Except for dob, all else per the Memorial bio is the same Family information. We linked Nathan Jr. to this Memorial as it does include accurate Family history information in Nathan Sr.'s Memorial bio for our Nathan Jr. Farmer Family. Per his Memorial, the headstone was worn and not readable.

* * * * * * *
