PALISADE -- Margaret Dixon, 73, Palisade, died Wednesday, June 19, 2002.

She was born Jan. 18, 1929, in Excellan, Wis., to Calvin and Esther (Gack) Shofner. She married James Dixon on Dec. 30, 1952, in Newport, R.I. They lived in Rhode Island and Pennsylvania until they moved back to Minnesota in 1955.

Survivors include her husband; a son, James, Casper, Wyo.; five daughters, Joan Riley, Faribault, Sharon Gordon, Henderson, Susan Todd, Minneapolis, Toni Generous, Minneapolis, and Tracey Dixon, Minneapolis; 26 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and four brothers, Donald Shofner, Peterson, Marion Shofner, Cloquet, Harley Shofner, Blackduck, and Richard Shofner, California.

Services will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Willim Funeral Home Chapel in Aitkin. Burial will be in Waukenabo Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Friday and an hour before services Saturday at Willim Funeral Chapel in Aitkin.

PALISADE -- Margaret Dixon, 73, Palisade, died Wednesday, June 19, 2002.
