Mike Hopper, aged 82, of Carthage, MO., a retired farmer and carpenter, died at a hospital in Carthage Thursday, Feb. 22. He was born at Harrison September 18, 1890, son of T. and Jayne Young Hopper. He had been a resident of Carthage since 1940.
He was married to Tressie Elizabeth Butler in Harrison April 16, 1911.
Survivors include his wife, of the home; two sons, Ormand Hopper of Miller, MO. John O. Hopper of Sarcoxie, MO.; a daughter, Vivian Simmons, of Carthage, MO.; a brother, Lee Hopper of Route 4, Harrison; 15 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Holt Memorial Chapel with burial in the Oregon Flat Cemetery.
