Mrs. Gertrude Langford of Visalia passed away Sunday, September 27, 2009 in Visalia at the age of 91. Mrs. Langford was born December 3, 1917 in Cleveland, Arkansas to George and Julie Frazer. Mrs. Langford was a homemaker. She enjoyed playing bingo, quilting, gardening, canning and spending time with family and friends. She will be best remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She will be dearly missed. She is survived by a son, Norman D. Thomas of White City, Oregon; 5 grandchildren, Alisha Luis, Kristina Thomas; Shaun Langford, Erin Langford-Buckles and Arthur Sotelo, 8 great grandchildren, Ashlynn and Elizabeth Luis, Devan Thomas, Kiley and Taylor Langford, Hunter and Maddex Buckles and Sierra Sotelo. She was preceded in death by her husband William Luis Langford in 1979, a son, Wayne Everett Langford in 2008, 2 sisters, Goldie Aherns and Thelma Rhodes and a brother, Palmer Frazer. A memorial service will be held Thursday, October 1, 2009, 10:00 a.m. at Salser and Dillard Funeral Chapel, followed by interment at Visalia District Cemetery.
