He was the son of Frederick & Geertje "Charity" (Sutphen). He married Isabella Starks 28 Oct 1811. They were the parents of 9 children.
Frederick Duryee was a farmer and was a veteran of the War of 1812, being one of the first to respond to the call to arms in defense of the county.
