She was born Sept. 12, 1925, in Buffalo, the daughter of Harvey William and Catherine Wooddell Barger. She married Frederich J. Holderread in 1955; he preceded her in death in 1975. She later married Henry George Krumbach in 1976; he preceded her in death in 1999.
She was also preceded in death by her two sons, Thomas and Terry Holderread; a brother, William Barger; a sister, Elizabeth Thoele; a grandson, Joshua Holderread; and a great-grandson, Collin Holderread.
She is survived by three stepdaughters, Donna (Bob) Rogers of Litchfield, Judy (Jay) Saurwein of Reno, Nev., and Sue Annest of Tacoma, Wash.; a daughter-in-law, Judy Holderread of Springfield; a son, John Holderread (companion, Ingrid Duff) of Springfield; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Cora was a resident of Springfield since 2001.
She worked at Fiat Allis as a claim clerk, retiring after 23 years of service.
She was a member of the Red Hat Club in The Valley, Texas. She loved to read and shop and loved entertainment shows, gardening and dining out.
Graveside services will be held at noon Monday, Oct. 5, 2009, at Oak Ridge Cemetery, with Pastor Stan Summers officiating. Burial will be at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
