This Ed Biddle's photo appears on the front page of Nov 21, 1901, Pittsburgh Press. He stood at the site where the scaffold was to be placed on Feb 27, 1902, and this picture was taken by a photographer who was a friend of then Warden Soffel's family.

Ed, and his elder brother, John, originally was buried in an unmarked grave in Section 1 at Calvary Cemetery on Feb 5, 1902.

But when the movie "Mrs Soffel" came out, the screenwriter Ron Nyswaner helped arrange a grave headstone through the efforts of MGM, and the headstone is inscribed with not only the names and dates of death, but also the last verse of the poem penned by Ed Biddle----it's noteworthy here that this poem was written to Julia Foster,daughter of Biddle's one-time spiritual adviser Rev. F.N.Foster, not as what the movie "Mrs Soffel" implies that to Mrs. Soffel.
