Walter L. Carter (1892-1960), 71, of Palatka died yesterday after a long illness.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Etoniah Baptist Church in Bardin with Rev. W. H. Eddy officiating. Burial will be in the Bardin Cemetery.
He had lived in Putnam County 20 years after coming from Georgia.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Nancy Elizabeth Carter, Palatka; four daughters, Mrs. Vernelle Gornto, Mrs. Arval Green, Palatka, Mrs. Jimmie Lee Smith, Orange Mills and Mrs. Jewel Dean, Jacksonville; two sons, John L., Palatka and Gordie D., Orange Mills; one sister, Mrs. Lizzie Stokes of Douglas, Ga.; one brother, Dan Carter, Palatka; 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
