On June 5, Alma Bell killed Joe Armes. She said he'd wronged her by backing out of engagement. She was arrested following day. Her case started last week with Judge Arnot from Placerville sitting in for Prewett. Problems getting jurors as most people prejudiced in her favor. Reporters from all over converge on Auburn.
