John Dietrich, passed away, October 4, 2009, in Grand Island, Nebraska. Mr.

John was born December 1, 1915, in Grand Island, Nebraska to Henry and Anna Marie (Koehler) Dietrich.

John grew up in Grand Island and attended Dodge Elementary School, Barr Junior High and graduated from Grand Island Senior High School in 1934.

He was united in marriage to Stella Needham, July 3, 1941, at Berthoud, Colo.

The couple resided all their married life in Grand Island.

He held the same job for 71 years as an Auto parts salesman for Anderson Auto Parts.

In his younger years, he played softball, bowled and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He especially enjoyed his gardening.

He was a life member of United Congregational Church, Grand Island, Nebraska and the Elks Club for over 50 years. He also belonged to United Commercial Travelers of American and Travelers Protective Association of America.

Survivors of the immediate family include a son and daughter-in-law, John L. and Bobbe Dietrich of Lincoln, Nebraska ; and a daughter, Susan Lysinger of Grand Island, Nebraska.

He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers, Henry, Alex, William, Adolph and Roland Dietrich and by his sister, Amelia Benzel.
