Nicholas was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, the son of Israel and Cindy (Smith) Perez, and resided most of his life in the Muskegon area. He graduated from Fruitport High School and was employed at Goodwill Industries. He attended Broadway Baptist Church. He enjoyed bowling, fishing, and singing with a love of country music. He passed away at Mercy Hospital. He is survived by his father, Israel (Carmen) Perez of Wyoming, MI; 3 sisters, Christina Marie Perez and Sandra Lynn Perez of Grand Rapids, Angela Marie Marrero of TX; nieces and nephews, Ariyanna Perez, Isaac Michael Perez, Maricela Publes, Miguel Bentencort, Anastassya Ruis and Jazmine Ruis; his grandfather, Manuel Perez of Grand Rapids; many uncles and aunts, Wendell (Belinda) Smith of Coopersville, Buck Kittel and Eddie John McCloskey of North Muskegon, George (Rose) Perez, Manuel (Alba) Perez, Jr., Shirley Anne Perez, "Tencha" Sanchez and Eloisa Sanchez, all of Grand Rapids, John Perez and Pete (Peggy) Perez of Muskegon; and by many cousins and extended family. He was preceded in death by his mother, Cindy Dunn.
