Son of Rasmus Dennison and Inger Monson/Monssen.

Born July 20,1824,in Gjentofte, Copenhagen, Denmark; took part in the war between Germany and Denmark in 1848-49, without injury to himself; was baptized Nov. 24, 1851; emigrated to Utah in 1852; ordained a Priest while traveling, and given charge often of wagons in crossing the plains; arrived in Salt Lake City in September 1853, and located in what is now Spring City, Sanpete Co.; the Indians causing the settlers to move away. Bro. Dinesen locates in Manti. He was ordained successively to the office of Elder, Seventy and HighPriest, and acted in the capacity of Teacher in the North Ward for many years. He aided in the erection of the Temples in St. George, Manti and Salt Lake City.

ANOTHER PIONEER DEAD
Hans Denison, Sr., died Wednesday morning at 6:15, January ? 1901, aged 79 years, 7 m? Mr. Denison's last illness ? several months, and he has ? confined to his bed for ? weeks. The funeral services ? be held Saturday at one o'clock ? the Tabernacle.
Deceased was born 20th ? July 1824, in Gjentofte, C? Denmark. He had ? three wives, two of whom p? him to the grave. He was father of twelve children, ? whom seven sons and two daughters, are living. There are ?-eight living grandchildren ? dead; one living great gran? And five dead.
Mr. Denison was baptized ? the Mormon church in No? 1851, and emigrated to Utah in the year 1853. He first settled ? Spring City, and after a few ? residence there he moved to ? where he has resided ever since.
Mr. Denison labored ext? in the erection of the Manti ? Lake and St. George Temples ? since their completion has ? much work for his dead ? having taken endowments ? persons. He was devoted ? religion and for forty years acted as ward teacher.
During the Indian troubles ? Denison was always ready ? part in standing guard ? other duty devolving upon ? He endured all the trials ? to the early settlement of ? Sanpete county. He was an ? honorable citizen and respected ? all who knew him. The ? family will have the sympathy of the entire community in their bereavement.
