Bathsheba kept changing her age. Her month of May was listed for her birthday in 1900. Also the year of 1859. By the 1930 census with her younger husband she is listed as 60 years old which if she was born in 1859 she would be 71. And then we have her tombstone with the birth year as 1862. She seemed to be a very proud woman and always wearing furs. She was a wealthy woman for the times.

She first married George Wardell in 1896. He died in 1901 in Nebraska. She had one son with this marriage named Seal R. Wardell. Her son died in 1924 in a home for the insane.

In the 1910 census she is a widow with four boarders living there. Two Rassmussen brothers which one is Axel, her future husband.
She married Axel A. Rasmussen abt 1911. Axel is supposed to be buried in the same cemetery but no one has located him yet as far as I know.
