Ruth Burdick
Ruth Morton Burdick, 88, a Sacramento resident for 51 years, died Easter Sunday at a local hospital. She was the widow of William L. Burdick who was principal of Sacramento High School in the 1930's.
Mrs. Burdick was a native of Tescott, Kansas and came to Sacramento in 1926. During WWII she was active in the Sacramento USO. She was a member of Pioneer Congregation Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Helen Jones of Costa Mesa and Margaret Ryerson of Sacramento; a son, W. L. Burdick Jr. of Denver, eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Pioneer Congregation Church. North Sacramento Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
