Lillie White, 75, of Route 1, Sumner, died Wednesday, November 1, 1978, at a local hospital. Funeral services were held Friday, November 3, at the chapel of Gene Roden's sons, Directors of Funerals, with the Rev. Presley Hutchens and the Rev. Milton Guttierrez officiating. Burial was made in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens.
Miss White was born August 1, 1903, in Sumner, daughter of William Preston and Ollie Pearl Floyd White.
Survivors include one son Edgar Ray White of Grand Prairie; one niece, Mrs. Harold Glenn (Betty) Legate of Paris; one sister, Mrs. Willie Lassiter of Hurst; three brothers, James Otis White, Sr. of Hot Springs, Arkansas, Floyd White of Oklahoma City, Oklahom, and Ray White of Cleburn; and four grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Jack Lassiter, Floyd Basinger, Cecil Everett, Buddy Carter, Gene Coursey, and Bobby Smallwood.'
