Buried at Green Hills
The funeral rites for Miss Adelia A. Dwight, who died January 7, in New York City, were held at the Dwight family residence in East Main street on Saturday afternoon at 2:30, and were largely attended.
The services were conducted by her pastor, Rev. W. W. Crane, assisted by Rev. Arnold Mellin of the M.E. church. Three musical numbers were rendered by Mrs. Ralph Space and Harold Tripp, accompanied by Mrs. Noro.
Relatives present besides the sister, Mrs. R.S. Tyler of Fargo, N.D., were Mrs. H.L. Wilson of Scarsdale; E.G. Dwight and family of Richford; Frank Deuel and family of Ithaca; Mrs. A.C. Knapp and Mr. and Mrs. Ed Buck of Cortland; Mrs. F. E. Mineah, Mrs. William Cady, Mr. and Mrs. John Southworth and daughter Rebecca, and Walter Wood and daughter Genevieve of Dryden.
The out-of-town friends present were Mrs. Anna G. Whitcomb of Ithaca, Mynderse Van Cleef, Allan H. Treman and Rodney Robinson of Ithaca; the Misses Knettles of South Lansing; Mrs. Lillian Marsh Tanner of Groton; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Duryea of Auburn and Miss Sarah Angell of Cortland.
Burial was in the Dwight family plot in Green Hills cemetery and the bearers were A.C. Scott, Seward Lupton, John Tripp, Fred Wheeler, J.D. Ross, D.S. Fellows, S.J. Miller and William Tripp.
The profusion of floral tributes was very beautiful.
