Banks Funeral
COOPER — Funeral services for Mrs. J. W. Banks, 49, who died Thursday in Methodist Hospital, Dallas, were conducted Saturday afternoon in Delta Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Robert E. Jenkins of Dallas officiated and Delta Funeral Home had charge of burial in Oaklawn Cemetery.
Bearers were Jesse McAlister, Ray Banks Sr., Ray Banks Jr., Roy Tipton, Bob Brown, Johnny Dow Mayes.
Mrs. Banks who lived at 2639 Bentley in Dallas, was born Oct. 17, 1925 in Tulsa, Okla., a daughter of Edward C. and Laura (Coney) Twist. She married J. W. Banks of Cooper in 1947.
Survivors include her husband; her mother, Mrs. Laura Twist of Shreveport, La.; two sons, Johnny Edward Banks of Arlington and Ronnie Banks of the home; two daughters, Mrs. Bob Brown of Arlington and Kathy Banks of the home; a sister, Mrs. Jean Miner who lives in California and two granddaughters, Karen and Katrina Banks, both of Arlington.
