The Bourbon News, Paris, Ky. 3-16-1900:

Mrs. Mary J. Kelly, aged seventy-three years, died in this city about four o'clock Wednesday morning at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Florence Lockhart.

The deceased was a most estimable christian woman and was a faithful member of the Methodist Church, a loving mother and loyal friend; She was the relict of the late Rev. Samuel Kelly, who died in Cynthiana shortly after the war while in charge of the Methodist Church in that city, and is survived by four children—Rev. Gilby Kelly, of Nashville, Mrs. Florence Lockhart, of this city, Mrs. Chas. Mehagen, of Chicago, and Mr. Samuel Kelly, of Scott county.

The funeral services will be held at two o'clock this afternoon at the home of Mrs. Lockhart, on Winchester street, by Rev. E. G. B. Mann. The remains will be taken on the 3:30 train to Cynthiana to be placed by the side of her husband.

The pallbearers will be Dr. F. M. Faries, James McClure, Fletcher Mann, Joseph A. Miller, W. W. Massie, Wm. M. Miller, H. A. Power, John S. Smith, John M. Brennan.

Rev. G. C. Kelly, of Nashville, Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Mehagen, of Chicago, Samuel Kelly, of Scott, and M. R. Lockhart, of Newport, are here to attend the funeral.
