She was raised and educated in Milford.
In Feb 1939 in Van Nuys, California she married J. Delmar Kirk from Milford and they lived there for several years where Delmar worked in his family's Milk delivery business. After WWII they moved back to Milford where Delmar went into the Hotel Business.
They owned and operated the Horn Silver Hotel for many years. They remodeled and updated all the rooms, adding bathrooms, new fixtures and modern conveniences and yet preserving an old hotel antique look. Their lodging was very clean and hospitable for all. Mamy State dignitaries visiting Milford often stayed at the Horn Silver Hotel. Selma was the Operating manager.
Selma, not able to have children of her own, spread her love and affection to all her many nieces and nephews. When any family would come to Milford town she often housed them, both in the Horn Silver Hotel, and in her home.
Selma always loved and cared for her parents who lived close.
After her parents and husband had passed, she retired and liked to Golf occasionally.
In 2007 Selma passed from this life in a Beaver, Utah hospital.
