Mary E. Lombardi was born in San Jose on Oct. 9, 1919. She died on June 24 at Mee Memorial Hospital following a lengthy illness.
Mary was raised in San Ardo on her parents' John Ferrini and Sofia (Buzzini), dairy ranch. The Ferrinis were immigrants from Switzerland. She also grew up with an older brother, John Ferrini and a half-sister, Alice Myhre. She spent all her childhood in San Ardo. She attended grammar school there and went on to King City High School where she graduated.
She met John Lombardi around 1936 and dated for three years. They were married at San Miguel Mission on Oct. 2, 1938. She lived in King City for the rest of her life.
Mrs. Lombardi was a member of the Swiss-American Club and the Silver Kings and Queens. She loved to cook and garden. She enjoyed traveling with her husband all over the world. She also enjoyed her cats; Toto, Rickie and Whitie.
She is survived by her husband, John Lombardi of King City; one daughter, Beverly (Mrs. Raymond Gillett) Gillett of Lockwood; two grandchildren, Leslie Gillett and Russell Gillett both of San Luis Obispo.
