John was the son of Swiss immigrants Charles Lombardi, of Airollo, Switzerland, and Adeline Cicardini Lombardi of Cugnasco, Switzerland.
John was preceded in death by his wife, Mary; and siblings Joe and Charles Lombardi, Margaret Adami, and Mary Pozzi.
He was an active member of the King City community. He belonged to the Elk's Lodge, the King City Lions Club, the King City Sportsmen Club, and Silver Kings and Queens. He also served on the volunteer fire department for 40 years.
In his earlier years, John was a hunter, fisherman, and marksman.
In fact, he won first place in a state marksmen championship. He enjoyed his cats, family, traveling, and going to the movies.
Lombardi worked as a farmer, milk truck driver, and mechanic for the old Chevrolet garage and the County yard.
John is survived by his daughter, Beverly Gillett, son-in-law, Raymond Gillett, and two grandchildren, Lesley and Russell Gillett
